Adults
They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks - we beg to differ! Adults are more than capable of learning a new language, even if it isn’t with the ease of a child. But what adults lack in intellectual “sponginess”, they make up with advanced cognitive abilities and life experience that makes learning a new language a much more enriching and relatable experience. Our lessons for adults cover not only language fundamentals, but also etiquette, art, literature, history and traditions to help the student become a more informed apprentice of the Spanish language and culture.
Businesses
Bilingualism is an invaluable business asset. In our global economy, the ability to speak the language of your clients and/or employees is almost necessary. Break barriers, create bridges, open financial opportunities and establish meaningful business connections. We will teach you about etiquette and customs in addition to business-focused Spanish to help you be an informed, conscientious, empathetic, and ultimately successful businessperson. Individual and group/corporate lessons and events such as Cinco de Mayo and Dia de los Muertos, are available.
Children
Children are ripe for learning multiple languages, so it is important to begin lessons as soon as possible. Studies show that toddlers begin forming sentences as early as three years old! Our lessons for children utilize a variety of teaching methods including kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and tactile. We make sure that kids are engaged and enthusiastic, especially now-a-days that attention spans are at an all time low! Various learning modalities immerse students in the Spanish language, encouraging them to do what they do best, acquire linguistic ability and knowledge.
travelers
Spanish is the world’s second most spoken language, with over 400 million native speakers and enjoying primacy in the Western Hemisphere. Although traveling is itself a great way to learn a language, it certainly doesn’t hurt to arrive prepared - especially if the trip is only a few weeks long. We’ll consider where you are traveling and for how long, the nature of your journey, and develop a program that will best prepare you to be a savvy traveler who can blend in with the locals - well, at least not stick out like a sore thumb!
Students
While high praise is due to the Spanish teachers of our schools, the truth is that class sizes are often too large for students to receive individualized instruction and attention. That is why tutoring for students is so important, one-on-one conversation gives students the confidence to express themselves. Whether it’s going over last weeks lesson, catching up on this weeks assignment, or looking to be ahead of the curve, our student-focused lessons will help them maximize the value of their school Spanish program and set them up for academic success.
